DESCRIPTION

This large, hexagon-shaped mosaic is decorated with symbols of the twelve signs of the Zodiac and portraits of the gods of the seven days of the week. The figures (from the top, clockwise) are Venus-Aphrodite (Friday), Mars-Ares (Tuesday), Luna-Selene (Monday), Sol-Helius (Sunday), Mercury-Hermes (Wednesday) and Jupiter-Zeus (Thursday). The Zodiac signs (from the top, clockwise) are missing, missing (Virgo), Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, missing (Aries), Pisces, Leo, Taurus, missing (Gemini), and Cancer.
